Order these when your rubber still has usable tread but a rim has been damaged. A hairline crack in the rim face or a chipped bead flange lets a glued tire creep under cornering load and eventually separate, and no amount of fresh glue rescues a rim that has lost its bead edge. Replacing the wheel
